These and many other questions are answered in this book, which is written by Anna Maria Fosaa, who is a botanist with a PhD in the Faroese vegetation and ecology.

The book gives a description of the plants, explains where they grow, their frequency, and gives their name in eight different languages, Faroese and Latin included.
