The Main Faroese Booksale Agency (BMS)

The BMS handles the distribution of Faroese books from publisher to bookdealers and occationally to consumers directly.

The BMS was founded in 1968 with the aim of promoting the publishing of books in Faroese, and to achieve this, BMS can make agreements on collaboration with every publisher, who might be interested.

The publishers deposit a certain amount of books in BMS, which then distributes the books on their behalf.

The BMS keeps about a total of more than 5.000 titles in stock.

To manage its business BSM has engaged a staff of four people, a director, a managing director and two assistants.
