The Faroese Booksale Agency (BMS)

The Faroese Booksale Agency (BMS) facilitates the distribution of Faroese books from publishers to book dealers and occasionally directly to consumers.

Established in 1968, BMS was founded with the primary goal of promoting Faroese literature by facilitating book publishing in the Faroese language. To achieve this objective, BMS collaborates with interested publishers through agreements.

Publishers entrust a certain quantity of their books to BMS, which then undertakes the responsibility of distributing these books on their behalf.

BMS maintains a comprehensive inventory of over 5000 titles.

For operational purposes, BMS has assembled a team of four individuals comprising a director, a managing director, and two assistants - a warehouse worker and an office clerk.
